Is MyFeedMe another search engine, like Google, Yahoo or MSN? - [Back to top]
No, MyFeedMe is not a search engine. A search engine uses a process to gather information and store it in a database, which you then search using keywords.  MyFeedMe continuously streams information through its database 24 x7 and queries current, live information in real time.

This means that a MyFeedMe user WILL NOT see historical data (only up to 3-months old) and will only see results or 'hits' that are current and relevant.

In addition, MyFeedMe values specific results over general ones, which means that the more detailed your query (a query is a MyFeedMe search term) the more relevant information will be returned.  With a search engine, the less specific you are, the more information you get, whereas with MyFeedMe, the opposite is true.

Finally, MyFeedMe contains ONLY data that is business orientated (including health, government, entertainment, media etc) and of a commercial nature.

Do I get intelligence immediately I use MyFeedMe? - [Back to top]
Not always. MyFeedMe uses complex rules in the form of queries and not simple search terms or keywords.  The results MUST reach a percentage of accuracy way above that deemed acceptable from pure search engines.  This means that MyFeedMe will NOT pass intelligence to the user unless that intelligence is accurate, salient and timely.  If no results are received, it is simply because no intelligence exists that matches the users tight MyFeedMe criteria.

How long will it take for MyFeedMe to produce the results I need? - [Back to top]
MyFeedMe is always on, always looking and always learning 24 x 7, as such the time it takes to produce results varies.  Sometimes you get salient and timely results within 24 hours, yet other times it may take a few days.  Remember, if there is no intelligence relating to your query available, none is in circulation and none will be posted to you.

Can I change MyFeedMe triggers to vary results? - [Back to top]
Yes.  All triggers can be edited and copied to make it easy to set up new triggers or to manipulate current triggers.  For best results, try setting up multiple triggers for the same theme but with different options, this gives you a good spread of intelligence for any given theme.

What is a trigger event in the context of MyFeedMe? - [Back to top]
A trigger event is an occurrence that requires an action.  A trigger event can represent an opportunity or a risk, but it is an occurrence that you will want to be made aware of at the earliest opportunity.  A trigger event is defined during the trigger set-up process.

How do I get the best results out of my Triggers? - [Back to top]
As a MyFeedMe user, you will know what you want to know when you want to know it.  However, to get the best out of MyFeedMe you should think carefully about what you really need to know.  If you want to know about 'Comapny A' and 'Product X' then you must set your trigger accordingly.  If you simply set 'Company A' and 'Any' as an option, you will get intelligence, but not related to 'Product x'.  This is because MyFeedMe values specific information greater than it values general information.  If you want to know about 'product x' then say so, setting a trigger simply for 'Company A' and 'Any' will produce disappointing results.

Do I need to complete all Trigger options/fileds to get the best results? - [Back to top]
No.  However, the more detail you add in, the greater the targeting and the more valuable the content.  This does not mean to say that there is no value in tracking 'Company A' against a specific 'Source' as a broad term.  For example, you may wish to know whenever 'Company A' is mentioned in the FT, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, or a trade magazine, specific website or publication.  As such you could set 'Company A' and select the source as BBC or Financial Times and leave all other fields blank ('Any').  This will give you results for 'Company A' specifically with in those sources chosen.

If I set multiple rules and complex queries against one company or entity, does MyFeedMe become confused? - [Back to top]
No.  The more rules and complex queries, the more the solution fine-tunes the intelligence specifically for you.  Remember, what you are getting out of MyFeedMe is accurate intelligence not just news.  In addition, the more you use MyFeedMe the more MyFeedMe learns what you value from intelligence and the quicker MyFeedMe adjusts your queries and weightings itself to reflect your perceived needs for intelligence.

Does MyFeedMe provide company reports, addresses and contacts?  In essence can I use it for lead generation purposes? - [Back to top]
This depends on the type of rule set, if you specifically set these components as part of the rule and they are available when the intelligence is gathered, then yes.  However as a rule of thumb MyFeedMe does not collate intelligence in the form of reports in the way that a simple Companies House or business analyst function does.  MyFeedMe will include address, contact and report information to intelligence if those components are available at the time the intelligence is generated.

Will MyFeedMe get it wrong and present intelligence I didn’t ask for? - [Back to top]
Yes, sometimes it will.  But only in 2-5% of cases, and we are improving this all the time.

Will MyFeedMe duplicate intelligence and provide the same content from two different sources? - [Back to top]
No.  MyFeedMe uses advanced analysis of intelligence content and as such identifies duplications.  MyFeedMe will analyse duplicate intelligence and determine which items meet your requirements and instructions, with the closest, most accurate ‘match’ being delivered.

How much does MyFeedMe cost? - [Back to top]
MyFeedMe costs £100 per user per month (+VAT where applied).
